Redemption

A reality we must wholeheartedly treasure is that intimacy with God is available to every person who receives Jesus as their Saviour. He is our redeemer and has gained us access to a very real, intimate relationship with God – a privilege that was initially lost through sin.

Many Christians feel they’re not good enough to enjoy an intimate relationship with the Father, or that they must first earn the privilege to do so. The truth is, our acceptance into experiencing this relationship has everything to do with the redemptive nature of the blood of Jesus – not through any good works or personal merit.

The Bible says the first Adam sinned and brought eternal separation between man and God. As a result, we became slaves to sin and victims to the struggles, shame, and harassment it brings.  But Jesus, the second Adam, gave His Own blood to pay in full for the penalty of sin. Now we are no longer slaves to sin – we are victorious over it! We are restored to our original position of being called and recognised as sons and daughters of God (Galatians 4:7)!  Today, boldly approach the Throne of Grace and be welcomed by the joyful love of our Heavenly Father, all because of Jesus!
