Redirect History

God never calls us by what or who we are in our current, natural state, but by who He has made us to be in Him, before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).  Jesus spoke to Simon and declared that even though he was know by that name, he now had a new name, “You shall be called Cephas”.  Jesus called Peter according to his glorious destiny in Him, not his identity outside of knowing Him.  This is demonstrated throughout the Bible when it came to God calling men. We see it in the life of David, Jeremiah, Moses, Gideon, and the list goes on. He takes what is limited by the natural, places His supernatural on it – and redirects history! When God called Moses, He didn’t see a stutterer, He saw a deliverer. When He called Gideon, He didn’t see a weak, coward, He saw a mighty man of valour. When He called Jeremiah, He didn’t see a mere youth, He saw someone that would be His mouthpiece. Hallelujah! This truth should stir something in your heart. God is alpha and omega, that means He’s been involved in your life since you were a thought in His heart, even before the world began; and He will be involved for eternity to come! He calls you by who He sees you to be in Him, not by your natural limitations, without Him.  Never see your natural condition as your portion. There is a supernatural call on your life and you have God’s very life inside you, to empower and enable you to do what He has planned and ordained for you to do! (Ephesians 2:10). So see yourself as He does and redirect history with Him!
