Remember His Name

Some translations of this verse read, “… we will remember the Name…”.  When we remember a name, we remember a person – their character, actions, words spoken, and certainly events connected to them. When we remember testimonies of what the Lord has said to us, what He has promised us, how He makes us feel when He pours His love into our hearts, washes over minds with His word, or heals our bodies – we literally rehearse who He is to us.  Just speaking about our experiences with the Lord Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit causes His Presence to be manifest again, flooding our hearts and minds with His love, peace, healing, power, and joy all over again! That’s because He is enthroned in our praises of Him and He promises that when we gather in His Name – He is right there in our midst! Remembering His Name stirs up an earnest expectation for our future too, as it builds our faith, hope and trust in Him. Remembering the Name of the Lord is not just living off yesterday’s manna, it’s proclaiming His power, provision, and peace for today and every day to come! Chariots and strong horses symbolize the world’s systems, people in power with evil agendas, and social norms gone woke. They cannot accomplish what the Name of Jesus has already overcome for us.  So be of good cheer because our Saviour and Redeemer has already conquered the world and deprived it of its power to harm us! As we live in Him and continue to remember His Name victory is ours right up to the moment He comes to fetch us in the clouds hallelujah!  So choose to live in the reality of His Name and all the glorious things it carries for you to enjoy!
