Run To God

#FaithDaily Run To God
Psalm 51:13 (AMPC): “Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You.”

At times we miss the mark and may be tempted to feel it’s all over and God will never use us. But that’s simply not accurate. God is looking for people who are willing to work with Him. He isn’t looking for perfection, just perfect hearts that are devoted to Him…Hearts that love Him and are teachable and pliable to His Holy Spirit.

We can never take credit for the victories we experience in life – everything good originates in Him, and flows from Him. It’s His Spirit that’s at work in us that performs His will. Our part is to practice listening and yielding to Him, allowing Him to direct and empower us to walk in His ways. In Psalm 51 David had sinned against the Lord and the prophet Nathan called him out for it.

David’s response wasn’t to run and hide, or drawback from God in fear and defeat. Instead, he asked the Lord for forgiveness, and to use his experience to help others get up and move on in faith. He chose to trust in God and have faith in His loving kindness, and willingness to forgive, restore and recharge! Today, don’t hold back because of past failure, choose to run to God and let Him cleanse, restore and recharge you for His service.
