After personally encountering Jesus, Paul devoted his life to teaching and preaching about the new-man in Christ. He relentlessly pushed on, against all persecution and opposition, to have this truth know to believers all over the world and for generations to come. Paul understood that victory in this life comes from being hidden in Christ; to intimately know Him, and to experience the resurrection power that flows from His Presence within. This is how he walked in his authority and freedom over the devil. This freedom was already prophesied in Genesis 3:15, saying Jesus would crush Satan under His feet. When our Saviour was nailed to the cross, the nail went through His feet. Jesus had to put His weight on this nail in order to inhale and breathe, while hanging on the cross. The pain would have been excruciating. This very act significantly symbolises the victory Jesus won for us over every demonic oppression! It’s a vital part of the many glorious benefits we have through the finished work of the cross. The God of peace has paid for all spiritual, mental, and physical torment to be broken off our lives for good! Live like that weight has been lifted today – joyfully proclaiming that because Jesus is the head, and you are the body, the enemy is indeed, under your feet!
