The man in John 9 wasn’t losing his sight, he never had sight to begin with. The Bible says he was born blind. Jesus never gave this blind man something he had lost, He created something brand new, and gave him something he never had before. Jesus spat on the ground and, with His own saliva, that carried His life-giving DNA, made clay. That clay, applied to the man’s non-seeing eyes, produced something brand new for him – sight! We serve a God who created the world out of His words of faith. Things became visible out of things that were invisible! (Hebrews 11:3). He is a life-creating being! In Isaiah 43:19, the word of God says, “Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” When we place our trust in the faithfulness of God, and the power of His word – we are able to see what we have never seen before! If His word has promised peace and prosperity in your life, your family, your marriage, your business and your ministry – believe it! Never speak contrary to those promises, and begin to act like they are your reality – walking around like someone who is filled with grateful joy! This is how faith works! When you stand in faith concerning what God has promised – He will always create something wonderful and new when you give Him your faith to work with!
