There’s no greater privilege than knowing God as our Father! The above translation says the Holy Spirit moves us to cry out “My Father”; while others say the Holy Spirit cries out “My Father” through us. Here are three truths to treasure… Firstly, the Holy Spirit doesn’t force us to know God; we have a free will to receive and embrace Him and every benefit that comes from knowing Him.
Secondly, as His children, the Holy Spirit lives within us and directly connects us to the Father. He is the seal, or guarantee, that we belong exclusively to God. Thirdly, when we are yielded to the Spirit of God inside us, He moves us to know God as our Father through a living, intimate relationship with Him. He makes it possible for us to hear His voice through His written Word, and His voice spoken directly into our spirits.
This is how we are able to hear and know His perfect will, and see Him move mightily in our lives. The more aware we become of our supernatural, inseparable connection with the Lord, the more we actively live in and by the Spirit. A way of life that far exceeds all-natural boundaries and limitations! This is how we live just as Jesus did when He walked this earth – as a child of the Most High God!
