What do you do when you’re facing a spiritual attack, and it feels as though the devil is getting the upper hand? The Bible tells us to submit ourselves to God so we can stand our ground against the devil, and give him his marching orders! When every part of our lives is in submission to God, the devil has no authority or opportunity to harass us.
Instead of fretting, we are to stand our ground in God’s Word, and push the devil right out our lives. As a result, he doesn’t retreat slowly, but flees in stark terror – like a dog with his tail between its legs. That’s the mental picture you ought to have when you resist the devil.
When he whispers into your ear, remind Him of what is written in the Word of God and command him to get out of your way. The Bible says you have received authority over the devil and his demons. From today, keep your life submitted to God, stand strong on His Word, and don’t give the devil an ounce of territory that doesn’t belong to him
