Store Up A Bountiful Supply!

In 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Paul instructs Timothy to command the believers who were wealthy to not put their trust in their uncertain riches but to trust God, Who ultimately is the source of their wealth. God has nothing against His children being wealthy; in fact, there are over 300 scriptures from

Genesis through Revelation attesting to the fact that He delights in the prosperity of His children. What He does require however, is the right attitude towards material riches. We are to be rich in good works, ready to give, and willing to share. God entrusts all things to us to steward well, for His purpose. Adam and Eve never owned the garden; they were given the responsibility to tend and watch over it, and they were allowed to enjoy all the benefits that garden produced.

God’s Kingdom operates by the principle of sowing and reaping. At any time He can call on us to give of what He has blessed us with, and when we give or sow it with a willing, grateful heart, we are guaranteed a bountiful harvest in return. That’s because there is no such thing as lack in His kingdom. In 1 Timothy 6:19, the wealthy believers were told their good stewardship would store up for them a good supply for the time to come! Be ready at any time to give into God’s kingdom – it will store up for you a bountiful supply in your future too.
