When a Believer becomes skillful in the Word of God, he becomes a great threat to the enemy’s kingdom. What does that mean? Well, when we spend time in God’s Word and begin to acknowledge every good thing we have in Christ Jesus – everything changes for us. We realize that we no longer have to live under the curse of poverty, sickness, or mental bondage of any kind! Instead, we have been raised with Christ and are seated with Him in heavenly places – far above every other rule or dominion or principality! We understand we have been given the Name of Jesus that is higher than any other name, and when we believe in that Name signs and wonders accompany us! Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” We realize we have been given authority over all the works of the devil and that he cannot harm us! (Luke 10:19). We also know that we have been given the keys of God’s Kingdom, which is the authority to declare on earth whatever is permitted in heaven and refuse on earth whatever is not permitted in heaven! When we begin to live like this, the devil becomes terrified of the danger we are inflicting on his kingdom. Which is why he will do whatever he can to stop us. His usual method is through persecution. He will rile up gossip, offense, strife, and hatred in the hearts of whoever is willing to pay attention to the thoughts he puts in their minds – against you. When this happens, don’t react in the flesh because our warfare is not against flesh and blood – it’s against the devil. Instead, bind the spirit that is behind their destructive words and actions. Focus your authority on rebuking the devil and declaring the truth, peace, and love of God over the situation. You’ll neutralize the attack in no time and enforce the devil’s defeat once again!
