Our world desperately needs strong, Godly leaders to stand their ground and lead people with wisdom and integrity. In Proverbs 29:2 we see people rejoice when the Godly are in authority. It all starts with leadership over our own lives as we walk in line with the Word of God, and intentionally yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Then we lead our homes, the church, we lead in the workplace, and in the city. Before long, the Lord places us in positions where we become a voice to the nations.
Godly leadership looks very different to worldly leadership though. Even though there is an obvious inner strength and boldness to speak up, and stand for what is right – there is no self-promotion. A true Godly leader is marked by a total dependence on the Spirit of God. The Lord mandated all of us to rule and reign and take responsibility for everything under our care.
So determine to yield yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit today, keep His Word alive in your heart and do exactly what He tells you to do. You will be amazed at how quickly He gives you a voice to lead and bring change. Jesus gave us the authority to have His kingdom rule dominate every place we go. Surrender to the Spirit, be strong, and take action in Him today.
