The Blessing of The Righteous

There is a condition attached to experiencing the goodness of God’s Word in and through your life. Micah wrote that God’s words will only do good to those who walk uprightly. The Word of God will not profit those who are walking contrary to it. Many people wonder why they aren’t seeing the proof of the promises of God’s Word come to pass in their lives. Yet most of the time the problem lies with their disobedience to the Word. The Bible says in Hebrews 4:2 that the Word of God did not profit those who heard it because it was not mixed with faith. It’s not just reading and hearing the Word that gives us access to its benefits, it’s the diligent application of the Word in faith that opens our lives to its blessings. If we want to unlock the riches of God’s favour, then we must live in a way that honours the Lord – in all things. There’s no sense in limiting the flow of God’s blessing in our lives by choosing selective obedience. Ephesians 3:20 says that the Lord is able to carry out His purpose far above all that we dare ask or think! As long as we choose to surrender all of ourselves to Him, and walk uprightly before Him.
