The greatest gift we could receive this Christmas would be the Word of God alive in our hearts! Besides God’s Word being His wisdom, His thoughts, and the intents of His heart, God’s Word is alive and powerful, because it is Him! 2 Timothy 3:16 says that the Word of God is, “God-breathed and given by His inspiration”. Praise God! With God’s Word alive in our hearts we are able to become well skilled in accomplishing every good work we were created to do! This makes it pretty valuable for sure! One great attribute about God’s Word is that it is eternal. Heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s Word will remain steadfast, vital, powerful and relevant FOREVER! It is as eternal as God is – because He and His Word are one!(Luke 21:33, John 1:1). Giving God’s Word the attention it deserves, which is our full attention, will cause it to go to work in our lives as we begin to agree with it, believe it, and speak what we believe – from the conviction of our hearts! Jesus guaranteed this when He said, “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7). Receive God’s Word as your greatest gift! You will see it produce success, prosperity, wisdom, health and the true riches money can never buy! Merry Christmas!
