The Greatest Reward

When God called Abram, not only did He call him out of the familiar, but He called him to a covenant relationship with Himself and to purpose. Moreover, Abram’s obedience had a promise attached to it: blessing for Abram; a great name; and empowerment for him to be a blessing. Every promise of God is already settled and approved by Him. They become our sure reality through obedience to His ways and refusing to waver in our faith – trusting in His faithfulness to honour His Word.

The sacrifice of forsaking what we once put our security in, for a life of faith in Christ, is something Jesus promised we would be rewarded a hundred-fold for (Mark 10:29-30). Cheerfully embrace the call of Christ today – the call to live in Him, and for Him. Forsaking your old way of life to embrace a life of trust and obedience will bring the greatest joy and blessing you could ever imagine.
