The Order Of A Son

Usually, when people introduce themselves, they start with their highest accolade or title. It normally showcases their field of expertise. As a result, people respect and take them seriously with regards to the field they are trained in. At the start of the book of Proverbs, King Solomon is introduced first and foremost as David’s son; then follows the fact that he is King of Israel. His lineage and sonship are so vitally important they take pre-eminence above any other achievement, even being king.

Sonship is important to God; when Jesus was baptized, God spoke from Heaven, affirming Jesus as His Son. Praise God! Galatians 3:26 says, “For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.”  Galatians 4:6 says, “And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the [Holy] Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba Father!” There is no higher accomplishment than walking in the identity of a son of God. We are His! Hallelujah! Not only are we not orphaned, we have become heirs of God (Galatians 3:29).

May this beautiful truth become a revelation in your heart today – you are a son or a daughter of the Most High God. You are loved, chosen, forgiven, set free and can walk in the supernatural power and provision of heaven – right now, because of what Jesus did. You belong to Him!
