Think on the Word

Our Heavenly Father has set a path before us that leads to a full, good life that’s well worth living. If you’re wondering what that path is, look no further than the Word of God. Proverbs 3:2 says: “For length of days and years of a life [worth living] and tranquillity [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these (God’s Words) shall they add to you.”

Psalm 119:105 shows how this path isn’t difficult to find, and it’s well-lit for those of us who are serious about having its wisdom and truth dominate our lives. It says: “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The more we read the Word, being hungry to learn from its wisdom, and eager to have its Spirit breathe life into our hearts and renew our minds – the more we will walk in the path of freedom and peace.

That’s because we begin to think differently when God’s Word begins its supernatural work in us. We no longer think of lack and defeat. Our thoughts aren’t plagued with anger and worry. Instead, our thoughts begin to align with God’s truth and His perspective becomes our own. That perspective affects what we believe to be true; and, as a result, it becomes what we experience. Your reality can be governed and determined by the Word of God today. As you make the decision to read it, think about it, and believe it – you will become just like it.
