The journey of life is not always smooth and oftentimes it comes with unexpected disappointments and challenges. These challenges can appear to be ‘the end of the road’ for a particular dream or journey towards a goal you were aiming for. The truth is, if that dream or goal involved a promise from the Word of God, then no matter what obstacle loomed in front of you, making it impossible to go on – it will move right out your way if you choose to not give up, and exercise your faith. Every obstacle in life is not a dead end – it’s an opportunity to trust the Lord, obey His instructions and experience the miracle working power of faith! Faith will go to work for you in spite of any adversity, natural limitations or disappointments. There may be times when it seems like the enemy is getting the upper hand and you contemplate throwing in the towel. You may even feel like taking matters into your hands, rather than allowing God to work out His perfect plan for your life. The Israelites of old learnt that grumbling and quitting, or trying to do things their own way only ended up in disaster. They had to learn how to trust the Lord and practice being obedient to His instructions. If they could just trust and obey Him in the simplest of things, like collecting enough manna for one day at a time – they would be able to trust and obey Him to enter the promised land and conquer the enemies awaiting them. Don’t give up – trust and obey and that promise will become your reality!
