The Body of Christ consists of all believers’ forming one collective body. When we recognise the value each of us has to establish God’s kingdom here on earth, we will be able to advance such a mighty onslaught against the kingdom of darkness and see the greatest harvest of souls, ever seen, come to know the Lord. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function].” In the times we are living in, we need to be a unified body with a single focus to see God’s kingdom come, and His will done here on earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). The only way this can be accomplished is through us individually being baptised in the Holy Spirit and filled with His power. That’s because believers that are filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit operate in a unity and love that gets the job done with God’s blessing (Psalm 133:1-3). It’s also why our enemy, the devil, works hard to bring division and strife amongst God’s people. While we walk in love with each other and in the unity of the Spirit, we will grow strong together and be a formidable force against the enemy while we do the works of God (Ephesians 4:1-5). The Body of Christ is God’s army here on earth today. United we stand, divided we fall. It’s time for us to set aside all unnecessary differences, to come together and propel God’s agenda here on earth together!
