We Belong to Him

God loves people. He created man for fellowship with Himself. He designed mankind in such a way that we would find Him to be all we need! He made a way for His Own, perfect love to be poured into our hearts by His Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). He chose us to be the vessels that carry His Own presence (2 Corinthians 4:7). There is simply no disputing the truth – we belong to God.  We are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand – He is our faithful Shepherd – how can we be in want? Our existence is wrapped up in Him. Our spirit-man, or inner-man is the part of us that is directly connected to the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 6:17).  This is significant to understand, because according to the word, we have a Father of spirits, who we can trust in and rely on to train us to live the life of the spirit, that always leads to life and peace (Romas 8:5-7). Hebrews 12:9 says, “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?” Just as the physical traits and human natures between fathers and sons, in the natural, hold strong resemblance – we resemble our Heavenly Father. The essence of our lives; the way we look, speak and behave must cause an overwhelming awareness that we have a wonderful Father Who pours His love into us, and His attention upon us – because we belong to Him.
