Those who don’t know God are quick to say, “His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.”. For the natural man this may be the case, but for those who are born-again, living full of and controlled by His Spirit – His ways are our ways. Our spirit-man has been possessed by the Spirit of God – His nature lives inside us! (1 Corinthians 6:17,19). 1 Corinthians 2:16 tells us how the Spirit of God reveals the thoughts and purposes of God to us. He has willingly made Himself know to those who love Him and His Presence in their lives, and who obey what He instructs them to do (1 Corinthians 2:9). The description of God’s character is clearly unveiled to us in the Scriptures; and you can tell who He is by looking intently to the character of Jesus. Hebrews 1:3 says Jesus is the express image of His Father. If He didn’t show us His ways, how could we walk in? His ways aren’t mysterious, they are revealed to us in His Word and His Son, by His Own Spirit who lives inside us. He’s a mystery to the world and to those who don’t know Him, but to us who live in Him – we know His voice, we feel His presence, and we know His ways.
