Wisdom is critical for the life of a believer. In order to live in the fullness of what God made available to us through Jesus, wisdom is key. God’s word is wisdom. In order to have that wisdom incorporated into our daily lives, the Bible says we need understanding. We must be able to discern what principles need to be applied to specific areas of our lives, and how to act on them appropriately to achieve the optimal blessing that comes from obeying them. Praise the Lord for His Holy Spirit! This is where we can completely rely on His leading and guiding to enlighten God’s word to us in such a way we can understand how to practically apply it. In the book of James it says that we are to ask the Lord for wisdom, whenever we need it, because He is more than wiling to give it to us, and we can trust the Holy Spirit to help us understand how to implement it correctly and effectively to any situation. Along with this understanding comes the ability to discern between what is right and wrong, or good and evil. The devil is very deceptive when it comes to twisting the word of God and masking the truth and His intended will in His word. Without the help of the Holy Spirit to see through his deception, we can make wrong choices that amplify problems, instead of solving them, or escalate trouble where it could have been defused. Today, determine ask the Lord for His wisdom and trust the Holy Spirit to help you accurately interpret the word so that your obedience to it will release the atmosphere of heaven and bring the situation to a place of peace and overwhelming victory for the kingdom of God (Proverbs 3:6).
