Words that Bring Life

Paul wrote this letter to teach believers how to live as “Children of Light” by the words we speak. We are to build one another up by using words intended for good. Jesus said, “…the words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63).  As children of God and heirs to the Kingdom of Light, it’s expected of us to speak like people belonging to the culture of heaven. Even when we bring correction, it must be done in love and the sincere intention of bringing someone back into line with their purpose. Harsh words that cut and break down are destructive in nature and will produce destruction in the hearer. Beware of speaking words that mask jealousy or insecurity, they will only ensnare you deeper in bitterness. When our words carry faith and love, they have the ability to connect us to a limitless reality, where nothing is impossible.  God’s order of design has always been to use words to create and bring every life-giving promise from His word into our natural word. Speaking life that brings change to every impossible circumstance becomes second nature to us when we fill our hearts and minds with the truth of God’s word. As we fill our lives with His words they begin to flow through us like a river of life – bringing light, love, joy, and peace whenever we speak.
