The moment you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you were adopted into God’s family and became a child of God. The Bible says this is when you were born of God. The Spirit of God came into your life and made your spirit completely new. This means you received a new identity and a new nature – His very own – making it impossible for you to continue having the same outlook on life. When the Israelites looked upon the giants in the Promised Land, they saw themselves as grasshoppers. They felt small and insignificant. Joshua and Caleb, however, saw things differently. They knew who they were in God’s sight and they were not going to settle their outlook on life for anything less. They knew they were God’s chosen people and they believed His promises concerning them. Why would you settle for anything less, knowing you are loved, cherished, and completely accepted by your Heavenly Father? Know who you are in Him and believe His promises concerning you; then you too will be able to conquer the giants that come against you in this life.
